
Locality budget: county councillors each have a sum of money they can spend on local needs and requirements. Currently this is £8000 a year.
In the past 12 years my locality scheme has funded a very very wide range of diverse needs and enhancements for the town and its residents. Including:




benches, noticeboards, library reading scheme enhancements (including a giant and a fire breathing dragon), a tenor for Britten’s War Requiem, Queen’s 90th Birthday badges for every child in Woodbridge, festivals and concerts, a sit-in lawn mower, promotional videos, cycling maps, Jetty Lane design, servicing a virtual baby (!), shopping bags, laptops, a youth club karaoke machine, football club strip, swimming club and youth club kit, outdoor gym equipment…

… the list goes on and on

This email is part of the evidence trail I pass on to the grants department. It should therefore provide:
Name of contact, name of organisation requiring funding ,details of the organisation’s bank account (it cannot be the personal account of an individual) active phone, email and postal address (one of these will be used for contact) and a request for a specific sum for a specific purpose and why this grant will benefit the community
