A dead bike in your shed? Recycle it at the Woodbridge Cycling festival next Saturday (15th June, at Kingston Field, 11-4pm).
Once again the Bicycle Doctor will be collecting old and unused bicycles for the Cycle Recycle project: sending them for repair and a valued second life in Africa. Our castoffs will transform people’s futures. A child will be able to get to school. A district nurse will be be able to visit all her village patients. A farmer will get all his produce to market. And all with the help of something that has lain rusting and unvalued in your shed for years..
Bikes of all sizes are equally useful – indeed (because poor nutrition often leads to smaller stature) outgrown children’s/teenagers’ bikes are particularly welcome.
