It is not for this individual (or even any section of the population) to unilaterally decide what can or cannot be debated. Everyone is entitled to debate what the law is and should be; and Parliament and the courts to determine it. The existence point is rhetorical nonsense https://twitter.com/Alexa_Kantor/status/1349696489841455104

Hah! So we stat by adding up to 6 years *on* to the working life of #50swomen, many of them now working lowpaid laborious jobs, in condition s of financial stress until age 66. Not a great way to prolong healthy age in retirement #CEDAW #backto60

Christine Flanagan@1956bbay

I had not realised that Theresa May’s government had committed in 2017 to the Ageing Society Grand Challenge – a promise by 2035 that everybody in the country should be able to enjoy an extra five years good health in retirement.

Queen of Cool, eh? But I think Colette's remembered for other works than Gigi: Cheri, the Claudine series, and as writer of the libretto to Ravel's opera L'enfant et les sortilèges amongst others. You don't usually get a state funeral for writing a novella

#WOMENSART@womensart1

Colette (1873-1954), French author, nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature,1948, and was also known as an actress, and journalist. Best remembered for her 1944 novella Gigi #WomensArt

A despicable man as well as a terrible President. And surrounded by opportunists who cared not and cowards who dared not call him out. Faugh

Mother Jones@MotherJones

Family separation was already among the Trump administration’s most despicable policies. A new watchdog report shows it was even worse than we thought. https://bit.ly/3qgYDgM
