More cash for Woodbridge schools

FHS pupil premium

An extra £25,000? £75,000? £242,000?

A fascinating map shows how much extra cash each of our local schools is getting, due to the Pupil Premium initiative.  For example, this school year, Farlingaye has been able to claim nearly a quarter of a million pounds to provide additional  support to pupils from hard-pressed homes. Kyson was able to claim £75,000, and Woodbridge CP nearly £26,000.

Pupil premium, which is additional to main school funding, is a Liberal Democrat-introduced initiative which intends to address the current underlying inequalities between children eligible for free school meals and their peers by ensuring that funding to tackle disadvantage reaches the pupils who need it most.
