Scrutiny will be looking at the effectiveness of Suffolk Circle: a membership scheme for the over-60s piloted in London’s Southwark. In the glory days of the last Chief ExecutiveConservative administration agreed to pay hundreds of thousands of pounds over three years to transfer this scheme from urban Southwark to rural Suffolk. According to Portfolio holder Colin Noble last week, Suffolk Circle has attracted 372 members after 2 years !
